For the bike I have neckwarmers that pull over my head and up tight under my chin.
The fleecy material would melt if hit by slag but it would protect from UV if you're not welding over your head or something like that...

Yea. I'm thinking I'd rather avoid anything that could possibly melt onto me.
I'm wondering if a higher quality helmet than the one I was using might have more neck protection built in.
Some of the higher end Miller helmets look to come down farther than my current one does.
