That's a thought. Could I get back to you after I check out some new helmets at the welding supply store?

I was using my bro's helmet when I got burned up so I need to get my own anyways and if another has more material around the neckline I might not need it.

I have a Speedglass I like a lot, but am usually Tig or Mig welding.
I don't do much with a stick anymore.

We've got a Miller stick welder and Miller MIG.

I prefer MIG welding, but sometimes you just gotta use stick. More penetration and it's much more forgiving of poor surface prep.

When I burned my neck up I was runnin the MIG.

I believe it's a Millermatic 221? And a Miller Thunderbolt something or another stick welder.

Is your wife ok?

And didn't you say she's a lawyer? Doesn't lawyer wife + getting rear ended = $$$$$?

We havent been working much this winter ,so it hasnt been an issue. When we do have projects that go straight through the winter, the big trucks and drill rigs stay on site, (no where to plug in) so we just deal with it.

wife is fine.

our personal insurance covers rentals, but its no big deal because the hitter had insurance.

we would definitely get "go away" money if we sued, but she isnt hurt, and as long as his insurance pays for damages to the rental we have no reason to be fraudulent just for money. i heard that if it werent for insurance fraud everybody would need to pay $5 per year for auto insurance. i dont know how accurate that is, but its probably not far off.

the rental was a jetta, and i think it may be totalled but it still driving. the car in front that she got pushed into (they were stopped at a light) has light rear end damage, and the winner......the guy had a brand new (1 week old) Hyundai SUV and the grill was STUFFED about to the windshield. she said it was like he hit a wall at 65.

the mustang has a pretty rear bumper now, and hopefully people in gun-wavin'-new-haven can stop hitting my wife.
