How high is San Jon?

When I lived in Denver I saw 47 below at 5 am and 50 degrees 12 hours later.

I miss Denver, snow ski and ride motorcycles in the same day was cool.

The high plains and mountains have some weird weather if you are just used to the low altitude country.

Thin air makes for drastic temp changes.

15 minutes in the sun at 12,000 feet is like an hour at sea level as far as sun burn goes.
Less air to filter out the UV rays.

Less air also means heat escapes fast.
As soon as it gets dark, temps drop rather fast.

But the stronger sunlight also means things heat up fast as well.
And when the sun starts shining, they go up just as fast as they went down.

Most common, probably Meyers and Western.

I am running a Snoway on mine, the only one around like it.

Everyone flips out at the see through snow plow.

Asking which plow brand is best is like asking which truck brand is best, usually a good way to start an argument, and everyone has their own opinion.
They all basically function about the same, and all of the new ones have good quick attach systems, what is important is dealer support, it doesn't matter what brand plow you have, if something breaks, and you can't get parts for it in a reasonable time period, you have a problem.
Back home on the east coast Fisher was the brand to have, dealers were everywhere, here, pretty much dead center, directly north of MN, my closest dealers that are good to deal with carry Boss, Blizzard, Meyers and Western, there is a Sno-Way dealer, but, they're about 6 hours out. If I was buying a new plow though, I would probably make the trip, they have alot of features that I like, down pressure and their new wireless controller being 2 of them.
For now, my 20 year old 8'2" Boss V-Plow works great.

That Snoway has a Lexan moleboard.

I have broken a few when you hit things like rocks that have rolled off the hills and are covered by snow or the occasional tree branch burried in the snow when temps are extremely low.

Above zero, no damage.

The nice thing, it is a very slick plow, nothing sticks to it.
The bad thing, an 8 foot x 28" x 1/8" piece of Lexan is 100 dollars.
