tires?

Hey guys, my trucks got 275's on it right now, 04 Lariat with no leveling kit or suspension work, bone stock, now is the 275 height or width? im hearing contridicting stories..... I am getting new tires tomarrow and want the biggest that will fit stock with no rubbing, anyone know? or have a suggestion? I'd like pretty knobby tires but not very noisy....

Thanks for any help!

275 is the width in mm

65 is the aspect ratio.....65% of the width is the height....

and of course the 18 is the wheel diameter

Well I got a set of 33/12.50/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz. Im not sure if thats to wide for you but 33's as big as you will be able to go.

While surely not the biggest, a nice and easy fitting tire size is a 275/70-18. It offers a few more choices in the LT type tire. I think it's about an inch taller and minimally wider. Note that in a certain tire size you will find variation from one manufacturer to another.

stock tire height is around 32inches tall.

I just put on a set of nokian 265/70r18's and they are a tad bit bigger, could be manufacturer though, but still taller than the factory bfg's

Then Generals have a nice tread pattern.

I have the BFG AT T/A KO and they're pretty durable. Today I picked up a screw in 'em and didn't even make it through past the lug.

I also tore off a piece of sidewall and I'm hoping that they hold up, or I'm out about $300.

They made it through about a foot of mud but that will be the last time for a while!

recommend the Goodyear Silent Armor also

deep lugs with aggressive A/T tread pattern, and the price is pretty good as well. not to mention the traction is nice and they're quiet

I always thought that the 275 was the height and the 65 was the width. Like on a 33x12.50.
