I fought a vibration issue for over a year and turned out to be the tires. I had them balanced, road force balanced etc. and never got rid of the vibration. I ended up getting a new set of tires because the old ones had gotten worn and the vibration went away. The tire guys said a belt must have let go inside one of the tires?? Dunno but it fixed the problem.

Is your truck a SRW or a DRW. The torque specs are different for the pinion depending on the differential

Six speed or automatic?
I had a driveline vibration that was caused by a bad OD bearing in ZF-6.
I chased it the same way you are doing right now. New u-joints, carrier bearing, etc.
Installing a rebuilt tranny eliminated the vibration.

Mine started doing the "death wobble" and it turned out to be a sticking caliper pin that was causing the drivers side brake to drag. I did a brake job and fixed the caliper pin problem and it went away. So, it can be a number of things.

Well to all with a vibration . Mine is finally fixed after 2 sets of tires a couple of wheels , new u joints then a drive shaft , all fluids changed , rebalanced with a road force balancer, the carrier bearing had to be shimmed about 1/2 inch downward. there was a tsb about it some time ago with ford but not many techs know about it . Thank god that I did not have to replace the truck
