I will be looking to get a set of new tires within the coming month for my 05 CC as my stock Perelli's are just about gone with over 58500 miles on them. I know this question will get varying answers, but what tires are you all running that work well and last? I am looking to go a bit more aggresive tread than the stock tires, been looking at the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor, Bridgestone Dueler, etc. The Goodyears seem to have good ratings on tirerack but I am looking for reviews from people who actually drive trucks like mine, not all makes/models.
Do you want a more aggressive tire because you need it or just for looks. Remember a more aggressive tire will more than likely cost you mileage, will not last as long and possibly be noisier. I for one will stick with the Pirelli's since I have had good luck with them. JMHO
I am looking at Michelin AT/2's to replace the Continental rock throwers that came stock on my 2008 F-250, PSD CC, with 18" wheels. Not looking for a big or agressive tire, just better traction in snow/ice and load range E. I have the 2" levelling in front with air in the rear. The Michelin tires @ 275/70-18 are the same width and 1" taller than stock. I don't know about the traction on the Michelins though? Anyone running these or have another suggestion.
There is four tires that you see aloton SDs around here. General Grabber, Khumo Road Venture AT, Yokohama Geolander MT, and Toyo Open Country.
Personally, I am using General Grabber AT2, most people around here find that they last longer then wranglers and Khumo. I only have 5000kms on them, so I can't speak about the wear, but they get very good traction and only make a little noise.
