Yet another exhaust question

I don't ask a lot of questions here but went by an exhaust shop today to ask about a price to chop my muffler out and just straight pipe it until I can get around to getting a full exhaust.

Anyway, they said it would be $40-45 labor and he is getting back with me tomorrow (went in as they were closing) on how much the parts would be. He said they would use a flex pipe and clamps. No telling how much the parts cost but if that is all they are going to do, I assume I can just use my recipricating saw and do it myself.

Thoughts on me just doing it myself and where would be the best place to get the flex pipe and clamps (eBay?)? Also, can I just use a "butt joint" or do I have to bevel the edge and overlap the stock exhaust and the new pipe? Obviously the last question will help answer which clamps I need to get.

Thanks guys.

I say just do it yourself. Here is a web site that has the parts to do the job yourself. I personally would use exhaust tubing but I don't think there would be anything wrong with the flex it would be faster and easier to install.
Edit: Okay for some reason my sig is the link don't know why..

Going to do this as soon. Post 14 Noah(BioHazardMan) Found me a link of a stock Pipe muffler delete. I didn't purchase yet. But looks like a winner.

I'm not a fan of flex unless all options are exhausted.
