Those defrost vents look different than the ones I have, as the ones I have the tubes attach on the ends. Wonder why the difference?

so then both of your vents are exactly the same. midfitys shows two different types, one left and one right and they are way different.

Just MHO. You know what the first thing a new owner of a old truck wants to do, he wants to fix something, the smaller the better, its kind of like marking your territory (like dogs do) and it is a important ritual of ownership. Tell the new owner and let him make a big deal about it, marketing 101?

thats true. just like the windshield wiper motor, its there and the switch is new but not hooked up, pretty easy fix but something a new owner could tell his friends that he fixed.

yes, they are identical.. I have 3-53-55 trucks, and they are identical on all 3.

the ones in the MF catalog are plastic repros..

Also I think this is only the tube length

Ford changed the vent ducts when they changed to the wrap around windshield in 56. In the previous years they were symetrical side to side. In 56 the hose connections both came in from the drivers side of the "funnel".
The set on ebay are for a 53-55.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Chuck, I thought I had misplaced some parts as mine both are aimed at the driver.
