Old marine specs are hard to find, Olny reason I know is I grew up working on them, Parents own a large marine back east. And I had a Pair in a 40ft Chriss craft cruiser. Reverse rotation is good for boats with 2 engines as it counters torque steer
Kinda interesting stuff on chris craft engine specs!
I definitely saved that image
Doesn't clear up why that intake is a dual-plenum with each plenum service one complete bank. The firing order for the "right hand" rotation engines are still not side-to-side.
Guess it doesn't matter on an engine that's going to sit at one RPM for long periods of time like a boat motor.
Anyone wanting information about the marinized 427 may find the needed specs at the Chris Craft Commanders Club. The 427 was used often in the Commander line.
That is NOT a dual plane manifold. This manifold even has the exhaust crossover which is not desireable either. It is a SINGLE PLANE not a dual plane manifold and for his aplication is going to hurt low end throttle response and torque. It is worth nothing to him.
I have an Offy single-plane intake on the 390 in my 64 Galaxie. I have a 625 cfm Road Demon carb on a 1/2 inch, 4-hole spacer with an RV cam. The beast has great low end torque and throttle response. The 3-on-the-tree manual and 3.00:1 rear axle are what slow her down. Punch the throttle in second gear at about 1000 rpm and she will pin you in the seat.

Compared to what? If it is the only manifold you have run on the engine, and used drag strip times to verify the numbers, then you don't really know, do you? Seat of the pants is the biggest liar on earth.

I've been away for awhile because I got fed up listening to the rantings of people like you. I see nothing has changed. You are completely incapable of responding in a civil manner to someone who disagrees with you.
Since you know nothing about my car and have never driven it, on this subject I can truthfully say you are totally ignorant. And that hasn't changed either.

Buh-bye.
Me rant? You are the one making claims without any proof other than your rear end. Which I wasn't aware of being a precision instrument for measuring anything except you bad attitude. Your posting of non-factual and unlikely info is an example of why there is so much wrong info floating around on the net.
To be fair, Bear didn't say anything wrong in his first reply to you. You do NOT know the difference between single and dual plane intakes if you've never tried them both on the same vehicle and engine.
On the other hand, Bear's second reply left something to be desired in the insult department.
