Good morning from Denver, CO... had a hard day's drive getting here yesterday, left later than I would have liked, so got in late as well. Goal is Salt Lake City tonight, then Boise ID tomorrow.

Yep. my mom sold some pups, I got to deliver them on a side trip to my nephew's wedding ceremony this weekend. Just south of Salt Lake, whole dang town is booked up it would seem... Made it through the mountains and open territories. Mysister had run this van out east, snapped a couple studs and lost a wheel. She was telling me the lugs looked rusted through. Not rusted through, but some gorilla must have overtightened them, as I snapped one today checking lugs after having a belt separate on a tire. It had less than a 1/4 of the stud holding on when it broke. I think I will just change all of them when I get to my sister's this weekend so I don't have to worry about any others failing. It will have to hold together until then...made it through all the mountain twists and turns on I70 west of Denver, so I'm sure they will hold on for now.

it was these last 2 weeks were mentally draining. it was 2 hours and then we had the verdict. of guilty. have you ever heard of undo influence? well i'll try to explain it!
its when you take advantage of the elderly, these people drained her bank account and sold her home for their benifit. not hers! this old woman was 87 years old with altzhiemers. now she has 0$. and thats not fair! and thats very unsettling with the whole panel. and thats why we voted that way. there were no records of what the funds were spent on is what got all of us. so if you take care of your mom or you dad and you have a POA [power of attorney] document everything. specially for their finances otherwise the tooth brush may be a felony! this was a hard case to decide. but we did decide on it!

I am currently in the federal jury pool for southern district of Iowa and was called a couple weeks ago, got postponed for 2 weeks until this last Monday and then was canceled so have no idea what actually happened. Still in the pool for a little over a month so could still be called tho. I really don't want to get into a federal jury, those can last forever.
