Thats a good intake and one I recommend a lot, I would choose a different cam though. something in the comp cams xtreme energy series cams like the XE262H would get you in the 400hp range and still be dependable I would think, or maybe even step up to the xtreme 4x4 X4270-H cam (you will need to replace the spring on your heads for those) either one of those should get you where you want to be.

I have been researching cams as it's time to order parts and would appreciate ayou opinions on the two cams below - the XE262H cam and the Lunati 61602 as well. Very similar in the durations -
Lunati
Part Number: LUN-61602
Cam Style: Hydraulic flat tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,400-5,700
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 219
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 227
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 219 int./227 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 262
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 268
Advertised Duration: 262 int./268 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.540 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.552 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.540 int./0.552 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112

Compared to - comp cams -
Grind Number: XE262HCam Style:
Hydraulic flat tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,300-5,600
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218 int./224 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 262
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 270
Advertised Duration: 262 int./270 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.513 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.520 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.513 int./0.520 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110

There seems to be little difference in the durations but the Lunati has more lift and a larger LSA - will that make much difference? - What one would you recommend considering it will be going in a truck (F-150 about 4500lb vehicle weight, lowered, weekend drive/show)?
I am also moving toward the Edelbrook air gap RPM manifold as the temps here never vary from between 75F and 90F. I'm looking forward to getting the parts ordered to get this build going... I will get as much info as possible from The Mad Porters website for porting the heads - especially the exhaust side - as everyone recommends him highly...
Your thoughts are very much appreciated guys... Thanks
Kiwi

Either 1 would work good for you, the higher LSA would increase the dynamic compression a little bit and the extra lift will require a little better valve spring but it's not way out of range.
