Faded paint

Just wondering if it's possible to intentionally fade paint? I've peeled off an extremely ugly pin stripe (check my gallery) and obviously I'm left with the bright, unfaded outline of the pinstripe. Is there a way (other than repainting) to make the paint all match?

you might want to try 3M rubbing compound, it may if not dull it completely at least blend it in a little bit better! Better yet, better get MAACO!

Maaco job comes in February.. I just need something temporary until then. I was thinking about a nice protective layer of mud!
