How much paint??

i think white is your best bet, i know i am painting my whole truck ford performance white then where the red is on my truck (see picture in signature) a color by Shelby/ford called Colorado Red (Google it its a sweet red!) it comes on Shelby mustangs and adrenaline sport tracs the reason the truck is getting all white is i want the red to really pop, the simplest way to explain it is, trying to do a painting on a black canvas, vs a white canvas, the colors just pop so much more on white, try painting yellow on gray primer, its really hard, unless you put down a heck of a lot of coats to build up the color, silver might work? i have no idea? but it might have the same effect gray primer does? best of luck and that color you picked out is sharp! looks expensive but sharp! and well worth it in the end!

also i have no idea how well that color covers? i know yellow is the hardest to cover, and from what my father says (he works at the St.Thomas assembly plant, they build crown vics/grand marquis/ town cars) anyways he works in paint, and he told me the yellow taxi cabs are painted twice to get the paint to cover the car right, since yellow has such a low pigment, just my 2 cents, and your color is a kinda yellow/orange copper color? not sure how that covers? also a tu tone with a nice black would look so slick with that color! also the orange tailgate ford letter trim would look good! i think it came on Indy trucks only but you can spot it on ebay once and awhile, ya black would look good with it! and then put some modern f-150/harley emblems on it! there i go again with my crazy ideas

Yea you got a point there. Ur truck looks sharp and that red, man that color is awesome. As for the color for mine its about 35 dollars a quart.. hopefully i can find it cheaper elsewhere. Thanks for the ideas given, and the ones to come

oh i think your truck is a 78? kshaneh? if so you can make a 75th anniversary Harley truck! since both ford and Harley where started in 1903! that would be quite a truck if done right! i don't know if harley's are your thing, but i would do it in a heart beat if i had a extra truck and cash! : ) anyone else agree?

Actually your ideas are welcome, this is my first actual build up of something and i want it to last 4ever. The black tho is a great idea, i would have never thought of that and the HD emblems, man ur on a roll!! what else you got in that head of yours lol

oh plenty of ideas in my 19 year old noggin, including sequential tail lights for my 77, using the stock bucket, click link below, also many many more ideas, including bed rail lights, using LED rope lights, i seen on the internet there is a kit for like a lot of money mine seems cheaper! if ya need any ideas or suggestions drop me a line i am more than welcome to share or add! and some people on here and other places don't like my ideas 
but the people who do out weight the ones that don't! and that's all that matters! plus some don't like change or are jealous of me i guess? i am a creative person what can i say! and thanks for the nice comments, i only wish i had more money to fulfill all my ideas! here is hoping the lottery works out!
