Does it:

-click with engine off or only when on?

-click click click or just one?

-if click click click, does it get faster with engine speed?

Just one, engine off, check pedal, linkage, clutch master mount and firewall if equipped, linkage mount and firewall, and follow to the bell and internals.

If with engine on, and it click click clicks, and it gets faster with engine speed, then suspect throw out bearing. Requires removal of trans. A new clutch, flywheel resurface etc would be in order as the labor to do all this is the same and no sense putting a worn clutch back together.

Yes it does speed up when The clutch is in all the way to the floor and I rev up the engine It is hard to hear but I am pretty sure it does. It did not make the noise right off, this morning. By the time I got to the store (2.5 miles) It was making the noise.
Like I said if I just lift My foot just a hair it stops.

What engine and trans?

IF the other functions are ok, it goes into gear ok, shifts ok, no other noises--then just monitor it.

This is something to do with the throw out bearing and how it engages the pressure plate. Fixing requires removal of the trans.

If it stays the same, and all other functions are satisfactory, drive with pride as they say.

If it gets worse over time, start calculating your move--trade it, sell it, tear it down, donate it, burn it and claim on insurance, have a friend steal it, you know, all the usual remedies....
