i will try to put a gearvendors overdrive on my "78 F250 supercab.
did anyone do this setup?
gearvendors told me that i need a 13 inches shorter driveshaft than the origional one.
can i use a driveshaft from a regular cab?
is this a bolt on kit or do i modify something exepted the driveshaft?

This one came up on Ebay a few weeks ago. I don't remember what it sold for. As you can see it uses their tail housing & maby their tail shaft too. If it uses a different tail shaft the whole trans will have to come apart to put it in & you will have to have your drive shaft redone as well.
the setup will depend on what you are putting it in.
The GV I have here has a long adapter on the front for use with a 2wd c6. It uses a "coupler" of sorts that connects the splined tailshaft with the GV input shaft.
Coming out the back of the GV unit is a U joint with a slip shaft.
There are many different applications for these things and GV sells all sorts of adapters - so you can set it up in different ways.
To answer the driveshaft question - I would just have your driveshaft shortened the amount GV tells you. On a side note - their customer service seems to be prety helpful with any/all questions!
