Any fellow Oregonians have any favorite local mud holes to wheel in this weekend? I live in Fairview and have quick travel time to Sandy, Gresham and Portland.
Well, to give this thread a bump (not really much help to ya sorry) but there's a ton of USFS land and state land over here in the La Grande area that is open to the public, I have some friends though on the West side......try a search for a place called Brown's Camp in the Coast Range
Hey thanks man I appreciate it. I have been to Browns before but its about and hour and half away and my truck has 44 inch swampers on it, so gas get a lil $$$$ thats why I am tryin to find some local secret spots.
ahhh gotcha, yeah rollin on 44 swampers is a sure way to keep OPEC in business with a lot of highway driving........that is a nice truck that you have there if its the one in your avatar
Nice to know there's a few Oregonians on here! There's some good wheelin up in Tillimook and Some just out of portland that I've heard of. Haven't got the chance to check it out yet. I'm just out of eugene so most the wheelin around here is where ya can't get caught!
I'm in Oregon, and there aren't many places to go for mud, Browns camp is good, but if a trail gets muddy, they close it. the St. Helens bog is prolly the best mud event I've been to, and I wasn't that impressed. It seems like you just have to "know a guy" who has the property for it.
That sucks for you guys over on the West side, over here in the Eastern part of the state, theres places everywhere, the only limit is how much gas you can carry
