We could probably figure it out by looking at the Transgo instructions, but if you have a BTS VB, I think the best thing you can do is just give Brian a call. He'll tell you what needs to be done.
It's the TransGo plate, so you would drill the hole(s) a little larger just like you would if you put in your own TG kit. Here is the page of the instructions that tell you how to drill it:
But Chris is right -- I would get with Brian first to get his opinion. If you don't mind, I'd like to know what size holes are there now. When you take yours apart to drill it, would you mind posting what size all three of the holes are in yours before you drill it?

Good point Joe. I'd be curious to see what size holes Brian drills in the plates as well. We're supposed to put a TransGo in Barry's truck this weekend. We might just drill the same size holes Brian does if we get the info in time.
I have been reading every post on Tugger installs and get so confused on the proper size and location to drill.I am sure it is a nervous event when you drill holes in your vb plate!!!!
Dang. I've got drill this weekend. If you guys get up here to Dallas, give me a call. If I have some free time, I'll meet y'all for a beer or lunch or both. LOL....

Actually, the plate was easy to drill. The nervous part is when you have to drill your valve bodies!!
Chris and I are known for having a few beers....Should have started earlier when we did the wheel....Might have been a different/easier re-install.....That's another story!!!It all worked out

Sure,i will try to do it on Sunday if i have the time.
No plate to drill, custom set up for shifts exactly how you want, and works with all DP-Tuner tunes without needing a reburn.
Sorry...I couldn't resist guys.

I wish someone would pony up and tell us how his works. Personally, I *LIKE* the idea that I can control how hard my tranny shifts both by the size of the holes, and with the tuning. Mine is firm when I'm easy on the throttle, but chirps the tires when I hammer it. Also, I have read that it is BETTER to have the tranny modified for more flow/higher pressures than in tuning alone. On top of that, I like that my tranny shifts sooner than it did before with the stock VB tuning. The difference is amazing. I wish I could drive a JW VB truck to see how it feels. I would love to compare.

If I had to take a WAG, I'd say he's using Sonnax parts or something similar to adjust the firmness. You could probably get in touch with Bill at RacerXautomotive.com and he might be able to explain it to you. He's a sponsor here and was heavily involved in "the cure" that all the E4OD guys are big fans of.
IIRC, the Sonnax accumulator spring kits come with shims that are added behind the springs. You can adjust the firmness with the amount of shims added.

I'm hopefully getting my BTS VB in the next couple of days. If I know what holes to check for you, I'll let you know the sizes. I'm sure they're the same ones as the plate Joe posted, but don't know about the ones in the VB itself.
