I have a 2003 f250 with a 7.3L 4wd automatic. My ECM is bad but i dont know if I have to get the same exact computer or can i get just a certain year model. My comp # 2C3F12A650DF i think not sure which number is the one needed.

If someone could please help me find one or tell me which model computers would fit i would greatly appreciate it.

What happened to make it go bad? Did the dealer diagnose it? If it is bad, you don't need the exact one, you only need the correct series. I have all of them in an excel sheet, I will post up a link as soon as I re-find it

I will PM Ron to come take a look and see what other years you can use. You can find them on car-parts.com for $80-$120. If you needed a 99 I have one but it won't work for your 2003, sorry.

 

No, it is for a 1999, it is the same as mine. Sorry... You might tell that guy that it won't work in the later models...

 

I found my replacement PCM on car-part.com. Yard shipped it to me for around $100. Best way to go, they are hard to find and expensive anywhere. Ebay was a no go for over a month. You have a DPC-462 series computer. Others will work like you experienced but won't work right.

You currently should have code VDH5. I had VDH4 and was happy with it, happier than VDH5. There is one more revision past yours, NWM0. You can use any DPC-462 series computer, just the program will be different. For the best fit, go with the same revision as yours or else you may feel a difference in the way it drives.
