Wanna kick some new truck @$$.
More fuel to mine $1 allen wrench
More fuel to a cummins, $500 smarty.
This ones paid for. Blow it up and can fix it cheap.
I also don't like payments and higher insurance premiums.
Ah, but that new truck smell... That spray stuff you buy at the parts store just doesn't give the same effect
And when is having too much room a bad thing? I don't miss the kids being able to kick the back of my seat in the Mega.
I can't remember ever being without at least one car payment, and my insurance on the new truck is not much higher than I'm paying for liability on my F350.
Still like my old truck better, truth be told. Except for the power.
I bought my IDI because I wanted a Crew Cab, but couldn't afford a 96-97 PSD CC at the time. The IH engines have proven to be simple and reliable for the long run, and I knew it would last until I fufilled my plan of swapping a Cummins. After 7 years she's still going strong even with lots of abuse and neglect. The Cummins is on hold for now because I just want to see how far it'll go.
I'm kinda' in the same boat.
I'd really like to build a 6.9L/7.3L hybrid turbo but I'd also like to see how far over the current 372K miles my 7.3L will go.
That's another thing not to like about my PS ext. cab, the kids are always kicking me in the back.
I like to have a long bed so the MegaCab isn't for me and I don't want to pay another $8K for the custom long bed conversion.

I couldn't make the decidsion to sacrifice interior room for the long bed.
So, I was able to keep my truck and talked my wife into buying the Mega for her to drive. She loves it and now I don't have to worry about her getting down the driveway in the snow.
I was glad to hear that they were building a real crewcab with the '10, but I don't care for the looks of the new HD.
Mostly to not have to deal with emissions inspection anymore. I have realized other benefits already though; I can do the same amount of work with my 6.9 as I can with my gasser, and in the end, it costs less to do it. I also like the fact that tailgaters don't keep tailgating if you cover them in black smoke, which makes me also think I should keep the grass burning exhaust setup instead of getting stacks.
