Another trick is to drill a small hole or two at the low point in your pipes. Whatever water gets in will run out, and the small hole (1/8th inch or so) won't be much of an exhaust leak to worry about. You'll still get some soot water all over though. LMAO..... I have a white truck and will be getting a white boat, so no stacks for me. Not that I would've anyway -- I think they're tacky on a pickup. MAYBE turn-outs on a dually long bed, but that's it...
hey riffraff do you have a website? heard good things about you.
Not currently, but I am working on getting it going. Have a meeting on Thursday about it with the web company. All it takes is Cash I am happy to help you out though, just PM, e-mail or call anytime. Anything I can do to save you money...

not sure exactly what you have. just read a couple referals on here somewhere about you.
I have never had any problem with mine. If it is going to rain real hard and for a long period I have some large size coolwhip bowls I put over them but if it is not a hard rain I don't worry with it and if I am not at home I don't mess with it. I not get black dots all over my truck like Joe said just drill a small 1/8" hole in the elbow. I love the sound of my stacks and the look.
I ask Pete if he was going to start making stack booties but I don't think is going to I hope he changes his mind I would order some from him.
at least my trucks BLACK! does the soot wash off ok?
You'll never see it on a black truck...but yes, it does wash off easily.

Before you go drilling a hole, let it rain once. Many of the stack setups I've seen, including my own, have enough of a gap between the flex pipe and the hard pipe that the water runs out on it's own. I've never had a hole drilled in mine, yet the water always drips out at the edge of the flex.
well i had stacks on my last truck it was white and yea when it rained i get black spots on my truck BUT one day it rained and i didnt even think about it and i hooked to my white boat and thers a hill right after i leave my road soo basecally have to keep it floored and well lets just say the boat was black ..... my suggestion is go drive your truck b4 hooking to anything white after it rains lol
Well guys... I've toyed with this concept for a while, and was working actively on a design solution for it but just have not had any real time to continue the design development in the recent month or so. I've been traveling with my "real job" on 3-4 ay/week overnighters about every other week, and then having to catch up on ball joints, IC swap out, coolant system upgrades, etc. in the meantime.
I had actually told Clay earlier today that I was not going to be pursuing this for the next couple months or so, but maybe I need to reconsider that position. I am short on time right now, though, so we'll see where it can go... I already have a line on the proper fabric material (the 100% polyester I use for filter covers would not be good due to the polyester's melting/scorching point). There are some other design details/decisions that need to be finalized. I'll put some more thought into this ... feel free to email me if you want to talk more details...

I have a side exit and i wont even run it in a tune when towing our boat because i don't want to get soot on the boat or on the vinyl.
has anyone thought about getting a cutout switched in under the truck so when its raining or towing just have it dumped under the truck instead of out the stacks?
