I have the manual slide in/out type electric trailer towing mirrors on my 08 super duty. Can these be changed out and install the Powerscope trailer towing mirrors?
And would like to add roof clearance lights also, either OEM parts or after market ones. Any suggestions on type or how-to instructions for installing them?
one of our 09s was accidently ordered with the manual mirrors so we made the dealer put the power ones on so it is possible.. as for clearance lights ive herd alot of stories about leaky aftermarket ones no matter what brand you buy.
You will need the switch as well. If your current mirrors are not heated then that may present another issue. The button to heat the mirrors is part of the climate control panel.
Has anyone had success in doing this mod? I really would like to have this on my 2008....I did find a kit from dfuser.com for this mod but it doesn't use the factory switches...

I've been wondering about doing this change too. I'd would love to hear how it comes out if you do do it.
I did the aftermarket cab lights on my truck from Recon. I bought the smoked ones to match the rest of my lights. It's really not all that difficult. Just time consuming. If there isn't a how to on this already I'll try to do one. Or you could just send me a message and I could pretty much go through it step by step with my experience or give you the link I used to go by for mine. As long as you don't mind spending a few hours tearing your truck apart and drilling holes in your roof, this is an awesome mod.
Are there fully manual telescoping mirrors available? primary or aftermarket?
