The dealer tech that replaced my stock bolts with ARP bolts said he didn't need to remove the injectors, so he didn't need new o-rings. The heads were pulled as part of the service. The original service writeup had indicated that these would be required, but in my case they weren't, as the injectors weren't ever touched. Hopefully this wasn't a short cut.... Seems to run fine.
it's fine to leave the injectors in the heads during a HG R&R..
Help, does anyone know of a good Diesel shop in south florida. just got back from a trip and found puking out my degas bottle and I ran 200 degrees on my ect and a constant 244 plus on my eot. I believe my oil cooler and head studs need work. This is to big of a job for me and my ford dealer has always been a jerk. They over filled my oil twice on changes before I started doing it myself and gave me a hard time about my exhaust and air box change out and that was before I added a tuner. Please if anyone can steer me towards someone it would help. I have a 2004 with 60,000 miles.
While not in South Florida, First Coast Diesel in Jacksonville does all this work. He quoted me around $4100 for head studs and his EGR cooler delete kit. My head gaskets are ok now so I ordered the egr delete kit from him and installed it myself. He is very knowledgable and personally has a 2004 PSD. If the quality of his installations is as high as the quality of his EGR delete kit he would be a good choice. Maybe somebody who has used his installation services can chime in here.
