I have a dripping leak somewhere on the lower end of the engine, but I just can't seem to pinpoint where it is.
It looks like it may be coming from the very bottom of the water pump, because it's dripping off the crank. On the same note it looks like it could be coming from the lower rad hose, but I'm not sure.
Any common issues with these? it's a 95 F150 5.8 XLT
Sounds like the water pump is leaking---there is a weep hole in the bottom of the housing, where the shaft goes in--means that the seal is leaking--not a big job if you can use hand tools--
No,
Buy a waterpump and the gasket(s) you need to replace it.
Fresh antifreeze...
You might consider replacing the belt and hoses too if they look cracked or glazed.
If you can, I would pressure test the cooling system to try to pinpoint the leak. It is unfortunate that you replaced something that wasn't broken. The leak could also be in the intake manifold gaskets or the thermostat housing. The coolant will run down the front of the block from leaks in both of those places, as well as the timing cover gasket around the coolant passages.
