I never used to watch this show but within the past 2 years I have become addicted to it. Yeah Clarkson is kind of an a** but I think that his crazyness makes the show. Am I alone or do you guys watch this show?
I've watched since back in the Discovery channel days. I was disappointed they had 2 GM products when they wen to Bonneville and no Ford vehicles. They stage a TON of stuff but it is still very entertaining.
I watched it every once in awhile. I like alot of the stuff they had but when they mentioned what they thought of the lightning and how americans could like that worthless of a pickup, it made me pretty pissed off.
i watch it on BBC America and on Youtube (before they have the time to block it)
I like the show, especially the challenges, and sometime they are a little pro-british and anti-detroit (but clarkson did own a ford GT and Hampster likes muscle cars), but in a sense they are partially right: detrotit products until a few years ago were not in the same league with european ones and most europeans can't understand the need for large displacement engines and big pickups
As for the lack of Ford in the Bonnevile episode, they already had the Mustang GT500 previously and there isn't really a new product from Ford of the same magnitude of the Challenger, CTs-V and Zr-1
I used to watch it. However it slowly became more about the presenters rather than the cars and the bias against both American and German cars sunk it for me.
I like it... as for their reviews on American vehicles, I don't think you can take any of their reviews seriously, they think Alfa's were invented by God for crying out loud.
I cant stand those guys, their anti-American car bias makes me change the channel every time.............And if British cars are so wonderful, why is it every time you see a street scene in the UK, every car that drives by is German?

Good point!
Got no idea if those English cars ever got any better on reliability, but in the older days they were terrible. John Lucas was the prince of darkness!
There is a reason why you can pick up one of those older XJ Jaguar's for small money.
Ford buying Jaguar back in the day was the best thing that ever happened to them.

Used to know a guy who drove a Triumph convertible (or was it MG?)dont remember anymore, he said, "to drive it to work all week, I have to work on it all weekend".....Nuff said.
I don't think you can take most of their reviews that seriously (and I don't think they are indended as such).
But because it is a British show, they are looking for qualities in vehicles that few companies put into their vehicles, character.
Its why they love Alfa's, Jaguars, Aston Martins etc. (and why Clarkson hates Porsches), because they are interesting and they have soul.
