FOR WHOEVER LOOKS UPON THIS ANCIENT THREAD:

-all wiring sealed

-LED's last like forever compared to bulbs

-better than those cheap ebay ones with the gray trim

-looks hella sexy

-cheaper than the stealership

-will go with your Euro style headlamps

-you can order online! so if your lazy like I am, you dont have to get up to get it!

-I even went through all the trouble of getting you a link to it!!

LMC Truck Parts - Page 69

Can't really see it on mine but, but damn does it look good at night.

Hey Nick,

I have a rear cargo light on my '92. Could I put one of those LED 3rd brake lights in mine so I have a 3rd brake light?

hmmm not sure, maybe if the wire connections are the same you could just re-drill holes

Ok, I'd like to have a 3rd brake light, but I'll try and see what I can find out before I buy one.

Well I am now looking for one of these for my 94 F150. I can't find one anywhere. All the listings I found said discontinued and no longer available. I guess now would be a good time for one of the replacement lamp manufacturers to make one. The one I have is in fair usable condition, but looks bad. Most used ones I have found are far worse that the one I have. I know I revived an old thread, but its all the same information. I stumbled across my old post while searching for the light assembly.

I am considering possibly trying to use a light from a Super Duty. There is one in particular that looks really nice. I actually kinda like it better than the original one. Has anyone tried this?

That would be sweet if it works. I decided to just throw bright LED 921 bulbs in my cargo lights to keep stock appearance, but bright output.

Broken LMc link

Previous link was outdated, LMC still has the LED replacement assembly for $99.95 "No modifications needed"

Dang, Is the roof contour that much different?

Thanks for trying, but I have seen those. I would rather patch, smooth, and paint the opening in the cab than install that goofy looking junk on my truck. I wish they'd just make a decent reproduction one.

Yes, that is why they make different ones(one 94-97, one 99+)

I suspect I already know the answer, but has anyone tried putting one of these on a bricknose cab? I don't mind doing the wiring - I'd just add a toggle switch somewhere in the cab for the cargo light. The key item would just be getting something that had a matching contour.

I was just comparing the OEM light to a super duty light. The contour looks like it might work. The holes however are spaced farther apart, and the cargo light pods are probably too wide as well. I suppose new holes could be drilled in the cab, and the light pods trimmed down to fit the opening. I definitely do not like the thought of altering the cab, and will only attempt to make it work as a last resort.
