Anyone know what the right height for headlights?

Im getting new headlights in tomorrow and I constantly get people flashing their lights at me as it is. Im sure my air bags have a lot to do with this. I dont know the right height to adjust them to when I switch them out. I saw somewhere a LONG time ago some diagram that had the lights pointed at a wall a certain distance away and they were supposed to be a certain height up from the ground...maybe I was dreaming this...

At 25' from front of vehicle beam pattern should 2-4" below center line and 2-4" to the right of center line for the low beams. High beams should be no higher than center. maybe 1/2" below.. Center line is determined by measuring to the center of head light, I pull right up to the wall bumper just almost touching and mark the center of headlight beam on the wall, than back straight up and compare where the beam hits. You can get more technical laying out a string line along wheels to wall and measuring over to headlights using a carpenters square and transfering the measurement to the wall if you are not sure on the centerline for side to side.If you are still getting flashed go a little lower and more to the right.
This is all done on flat level surface. hope it helps.

Sorry for the late response!

I havent had anyone blink their lights at me like I used to get when low beams are on. That method seemed to work really well for my needs. Good luck!

Hey thanks so much folks.
I don't get very many flashes, but I get some, and I feel bad that I may be blinding people, so I will try this out.. no one had mentioned to aim them to the right before, but that makes sense.

This is the technique I used. Worked out just fine.
