Broken catalytic converter

I held on to mine too....for about 10 minutes and then tossed it in the metal dumpster! I have no intentions of "just incase". Although I believe the fine is $300-350 around here, I haven't been pulled over yet. Seems to me I can get fined about 6-7 times before I start taking it in the shorts!
