If i were you I would get a vehcile that you dont like as much for your daily driver. It will save you a lot of trouble. My first vehicle was a 93 F-150 4x4, 4.9L 5-speed. I loved it to death and drove it everywhere. I put over $5000 (on top of the purchase price) fixing it up. But I had to drive it everywhere, especially in the winter. I could not keep the salt from destroying it, no matter how hard I tried. Then I wrecked it on black ice on my way to work at 6 am. This is the same problem i have with my 95 F-150 now (I do get much better gas with the 302 though). I love it so much, i dont want to drive anything else and now i cant afford to. I am constantly fixing little things to keep it going. If i had another vehicle I could fix it right and with no rush. The first thing i am going to do when my college loans are paid off is get another vehicle as a daily driver. Then I can give my the truck the treatment it deserves and gurantee that it will be around for another 15 years. I hope you get my point. Here are my two biggest pieces of advice: be patient, you cant get everything you want when you want it (thats my problem, trucks and guns are my biggest money wasters); and when you get a full-size make sure its an F-series Good luck and i apologize for the long post.

 

lol thanks I appriceate it. I am only 16 and do not currently have a job so i need to get something soon that gets decent to good gas mileage. I went through half a tank of gas tonight in my chevy 2500 which is my dads bussiness truck so I need to get something SOON though that gets decent gas mileage untill I get a job. Hopefully the guy that my dad was talking about is still selling the s10.. I am not sure yet though :/.But I know for a fact that I wont be driving for long if I am still driving the chevy.. Lol.
