Okay. I think you guys are a bunch of comics. I am enjoying reading these. Evidently the chevy guys do lack brains though. I say a guy with a BRAND NEW duramax diesel towing a trailer. He had all the wait at the front which was then burying his hitch and raising his front end. I passed him on I-75 and if he hit a rut his front wheels would have been off the ground. Doesn't that tend to lead towards lack of steering control. I think I will stick with my ol Ford. Oh, and that new "quick" chevy is already known to be in the doldrums like their old attempts and failures. The time it takes the Chevy guy to restart his engine, the lightning is at the next redlight waiting to romp down again but this time against a sports car. "Some real competition!!"

4. the fuel injectors in your '93 ford are made by bosch. the exact same injectors are used by chevy. i have Z-28 injectors in my 'stang, and it will eat chevies for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. my injectors don't clog up - i wonder why you had trouble with yours?

Yes, I know a guy at work who had a new chevy also. Traded it in on a new Toyota before it was a year old. I asked him if he was going for better mileage and he said he just got tired of taking the chevy in for all of the recalls.

I'll chime in now Last I checked anyway (not like the numbers have changed since), my 5.4L (stock) and my Dad's GM 6.0L had very similar torque numbers. Mine has 350-360# (depends on source, but 350 is most common) and his has 365#. I have about a half-liter less displacement and comparable torque... Granted his higher torque does come in at 4000rpm. Oh wait! You mean you don't tow at 4000rpm?, then mine peaking at 2500rpm is a good thing then, right? Then I guess that is another point for me. (I won't even waste my time comparing the 5.3L to my engine.)
Ford = 2
GM = 0
His truck is a 2500 extended cab, mine is a Crew cab F-150. Wait a minute, more power (torque) in a smaller truck. Pa-ting! Another point.

He has the dreaded "piston slap". I know that Ford has experienced this also, but not the entire engine line which at last count there were around 800,000 affected engines. Pa-ting!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot... He gets like 9mpg in town, and up to 15mpg at a steady cruise on the Interstate. I get around 16.5 averaging everything in. Closer to 18 on the interstate, but I haven't driven it for any major long trips to really figure. 2.5 - 3 hrs is my longest one-way so far. >>KA-BONG!<<

i've owned both general motors and fords it just happens that i like fords and my gm's had alot of issues due to the fact that the previous owners kicked the crap out of them. no matter what things break so mine did this and mine did that dont really mean jack ##### no car runs 200,000 miles without atleast losing an alternator both rock in my opinion
