Shoot, you're in Canada...
I'd loan you a known good CPS to try (I have a spare), but the cross border shipping may add too much cost to make it worth trying.
Oh.. man thanks!! very nice offer, YA were in canada EH? LOL!!
I will look into that CPS thing,
another funny thing on the truck that might have to do with this all is..
when its raining or damp or wet snow and im leaving the house at low speeds going from 1-2 the tranny feals like its sliping, and the spedo will jump up and show 30 when im doing 10,
and if i stop real fast the spedo gage will take a second to drop,
If I get on it hard its fine and after 10-15 mins its back to new,
this is ONLY when its damp or raining, never fixed it as I can deal with it,
I will get picks of the truck soon, as its a prety nice 99/2006
I had that exact same problem in my 2000 Excursion. It had a Superchip in the computer and was messing up the computer. Changed the computer and it hasn't had a problem in 2 yrs.

Is it the chip that plugs into the side of the computer?
Remove it.
I had a Superchips go bad in my '96 t-bird. It would just shut the computer down like someone hit a switch. No codes of course.
Pulled the chip, all better. Superchips warranteed the chip for me, I had a lifetime warranty on it, not sure if it transfers when you buy it used.
What I would do is pull the chip, see if it runs better, and then call Superchips. Say you can't find the receipt, don't remember where you bought it etc, and give them the number off the chip and the 4-digit/letter computer code and see if they'll replace it.
I had similar issue last summer. came over the top of a hill and died. Dead sticked it to the side of the road. Then restarted, and died. Sounds also like it could be a vacuum line that is on the throttle body. They get swelled when exposed to oil. The temp thing migh also be a split in this vacuum.

Not to good with this stuff, were is the CPU?? If i pull the chip out will it run? or do i need the stock chip to go in its place??
The truck is screwed when it rains, i will be going 10mph and the spedo is reading 0 mph, and then all of a suden.. BANG!! she kicks in, the ABS lite will come on to, But if I shut the truck off and re start, No ABS light,
The stalling thing happens when it wants, but like I said before.... In the winter ( COLD dry) almost never shut down,
now its always shuting off, what a pain!! wost part is noboady knows what it is!!!!
The "chip" plugs into the side of the PCM (or "computer"). To remove it, you need to get to the PCM which is on the driver's-side kickpanel. You do not need to remove the PCM itself, but it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery before trying to remove the "chip".

When it rains check the inside of the firewall under the dash for any water that might be leaking in from around the wind shield. There are a number of electronics up under the dash that can get wet and cause strange problems.
