When you pulled the valve covers off did you make sure that the connectors were plugged in correctly?

If you have a multi meter you can ohm out the injectors. Rough running may be caused by a loose UVCH.

Pull the valve cover back off and unplug one of the injectors that's not spitting any oil. If there's no change in how the truck runs, then that injector is not firing.

Would the AE scanner tell me that? I would like to get one for myself, but need a new computer first(my computer is older than my truck).

What happens if you remove the oil fill cap when the truck is at idle? Do you see some smoke? Is it a steady stream of smoke, or is it a puff, puff, puff that you can feel by placing your hand over the tube?

Does it matter if the engine is warm or cold? I can check now, but it's been setting for four or five days.
