Power sometimes

At times when taking off from a stop the truck will take off like it wants to go,go,go and then the next time taking off from a stop it wants to take off like it is not getting boost or something. I have unhooked the ebvp and mech. wired it opened, but still does it. What else should I do? Could it be the mapp sensor going bad?

mine does the same thing i have no idea what it could be, but i can't wait to see what others think. my truck doesn't do it very often and never has any codes thrown.

Same with mine, no codes. But at times mine runs great. Also in park if I rev it up holding it to the floor it will sputter and blowout bluish smoke @ around 2500 & up once it tops out it clears up.

mine doesn't do that but at times when i do that it does the no power thing, but no unusual smoke or anything like that, but it does make a strange noise when it does it.

numerous issues can cause this. Low oil, air in the HP side if you have taken out a injector or such. Can also be caused by air geting into the fuel system intermittently, from a broken or cracked pick up tube, possibly even a loose fitting. Can be causedd by injectors going bad, intermittent short in UVCWH, even a bad potentiometer in the pedal.
Check a few of those things, also as stated above, cracked vaccum line to map sensor, but map sensor will normally run bad, or good, not both. Even a dirty CPS can cause this , but only ever seen that once or twice............

I do beleive the injectors may have issues. It has 198+ miles on them. How much does the orings cost for the injectors? And what does UVCWH stand for? The pick uptubes are good had the tanks down for my filter light problem about a month ago. MAPP sensor hose is new along with fuel hoses and lift pump (3rd lift pump).

With all that money you put in you should have converted to electric fuel lol.
As for the MAP if it is bad, you can unplug the sensor. It will throw a CEL but wont hurt the truck. I know this from having problems with mine. If it runs better its probably your problem, if it runs worse its prolly still good.

Make sure you wired it open the right way.
I just spent 2 months fooling around with the EXACT same problem and I had the epbv wired shut instead of open.
Read my thread in this section called "No power" and see if it's the same.

I'll try to unplug the mapp tommrow, and if you are looking at the turbo from the front it should turn clock wise right or wrong?

If you are looking down on it , turn it clockwise.
