I plan to order up a loaded FX4 tomorrow since I can't find exactly what I want on the lot and there is no extra presidents day incentives in my hood on the 09s
Anyone who recently took delivery on a 09 they ordered want to comment on how long it is taking. They are telling me 4-6 weeks which will let me take advantage of the current incentives which expire 3/31. If it's longer that 6 weeks I might be screwed.
The dealer said we can play games and finalize the deal before delivery as long the truck has shipped but that seems kinda sketchy.
They also want a $500 deposit and I don't want to lose it but if they say sorry all incentives are gone if the truck shows up 4/1 then I'll have to walk.
Not sure what part of the country u are from but I would not count ona 4-6 week del., from what I have read from others who have ordered and it is even slower on the west coast. If delivery is a deal breaker I would beware

They can lock in all current incentives. Should they get better when your truck arrives, you can take advantage of those instead.
This is my first post. I am currently trying to order a '09 Lariat and my dealer told me 7-10 weeks and thats in Pennsylvania. Hopefully its 4-6 for the incentives.
I think I'm gonna tell the dealer I will order the truck and pay the deposit if he will lock in the current incentives or if they get better I get the new incentives. If he won't do that then I will only order the truck from him if there is no deposit involved. There are at least 10 for dealers in my area!!
Definitely shop around these days the dealer should be bending over backwards to give you a deal to make you purchase a vehicle. If there are that many dealers around I'm sure one will take you up on it!
For delivery to the west coast, my Lariat had a 9 week delivery. I wouldn't be too concerned about the incentives, they should just get better over time. If you can afford it, order the Navi/Sync system, it rocks!
I ordered my Platinum on 1/14. I get weekly updates from my sales guy on Thursdays, and as of the last two weeks my truck is scheduled for delivery sometime during the week of 3/2. As of last Thursday its status was Bucked, so I can only hope it will be built this week. I was also told 4-6 weeks, so it looks like it will be right on time. I live in southern New Jersey, btw.

ozman, I also live in So. Jersey and just ordered new Platinum. My dealer said 6 to 8 weeks. What dealer did you order from? We used Echelon Ford. Good luck on next week delivery.
I ordered my Lariat on Feb 19, and have a build week of march 9 so that should put the truck at the dealer the last week of march. One thing that will effect the length of your wait is when you order it. Ford schedules their orders on Fridays so if you order a truck Saturday you have to wait for a full week until it is even scheduled to be built.
dealer told me it would be 8 to 10 weeks, said with layoffs at the factory they are trying to build vehicles now with fewer employees. once you settle on a price then its not your problem if it goes up b4 you get it.

I ordered from Kindle Ford in Cape May Court House. I work for a small home theater business in the area and we've gotten most of our vans/trucks from them. My dreams of getting my truck this week have been shattered however, as my sales guy called on Friday and said they are now expecting it on 3/12. Oh well, I guess one more week won't kill me, but it is torturous reading new threads every day about more and more members coming home with their new trucks, lol.

Did you try any other dealers in area, and how were they on pricing?? I tried 4 dealers in my area. Started with the Ford web site and requested e-mail responses first. None of the dealers but Echelon really wanted to sit down and work out prices. Amazing the attitude of some of these dealers with this economy.
