There's only one other dealer that's close to me, Gentilini Ford in Woodbine. I had a horrible experience there about a year ago, and the best part is I wasn't even the one buying the truck. I was so turned off by how they treated my friend that I swore I would never go back. As for Kindle, since we've purchased so many vehicles from them, I was offered invoice price plus any rebates/special offers right off the bat, no negotiating necessary. I'm sure if I really pushed I could get them to kick in some of the holdback, but it won't make a big difference for me in the grand scheme of things and I believe that in these tough times everyone, even dealers, needs to make a little money.
I was very surprised that there were no Platinums anywhere around the tri-state area when I went to order mine. Waiting sucks...
Gentilini had a Platinum but it was gone by the time I was in that area. I have seen 5 Platinums at different dealers. White, black, gray, and the dark red. Both color interiors. Just none with exactly what we wanted and some stuff we did not want. Winner in Cherry Hill has 2 now on property. Only drove a Lariat. Can't wait to drive the new ride. HAve you asked your dealer about remote start? Seems to have a few differing opinions.
Mine showed up Friday which was 5 weeks, 4 days. Since it showed up Friday late afternoon I had to wait till Monday to pick it up - once I got insurance, completed my financing, and etc.
Once again I'll say this is total BS that it takes 6-8 weeks to make and deliver a vehicle. The order is electronically transferred from dealers lot to the respective factory. The next day the vehicle goes on the "priority list." Which means its made withing 2 days. And then put on either a rail/truck for immediate delivery. Total time? 2 weeks max. Customer first. Remember that line?
I agree it's total BS that it takes so long to get a truck. I ordered my truck 2/19, got a call on 2/24 that Ford accepted my order and the truck is scheduled to be built the week of 3/9 thats almost 2 1/2 weeks from when I ordered it just for it to start being built WTF. It would be even longer if I had waited until Saturday instead of Thursday since orders are only scheduled on Fridays. It only takes 18 hours to build then gets to sit and wait for the next available ride by rail or convoy, but there have to be enough other trucks going to the same area before the truck is loaded. This is just my understanding of how it goes from reading, and taking the Ford Rouge tour two years ago. I am not an expert by any means, I just want my truck, but I want what I want that is why I ordered it and now I will wait.

Exactly! Everyone around here that knew I ordered it said, "It's been six weeks already?" To me, it seemed like an eternity, BUT, I have EXACTLY what I wanted. You'll be glad that you ordered.
Funny thing was, when I ordered my Cougar back in 97, I drove it 9 days later. I guess Cougars won't quite as popular!
