you said that a order was placed for some clamp on tips but this is the way i had my tips last for a long time on my other truck with just el cheapo chrome tips.
just take a high temp bbq, brake caliper paint or engine paint. Spray around all the weld beads on the exhaust and then spary two to three coats inside the tips. that keeps the tips from rusting inside out (after wirebrushing and scratching the surface up inside the tips)..
