The OM says it's a 29 gallon tank, but I have personally put over 34 gallons in it after being bone empty from doing the in-tank mods. If you do the in-tank mods, you'll be able to fill it to the neck easily every time and get a good mileage calculation. By the time I get fuel, I put 30-31 gallons in it filling it that way. I just calculated mine at 15 even, and I don't drive mine like grandpa. LOL....
Look on the inside of the driver's door jamb -- should be a sticker there that says "Axle" on it. Right under that are some letters/numbers. It probably says "C1", which is a LS 3.73 diff. If it's not, look it up here: What is my Ford rear end ratio, do I have positraction - Drivetrain.com
Thanks for the help. I will check as soon as my truck gets back.
29 gal doesn't sound good. I have only a 150 miles and that consumed the first half of the tank.
29/2=14.5
150/14.5=10.3
I was hoping for atleast 15.
You can ignore that kind of math. Do it the old fashioned way calculating miles with how many gallons it takes to refill. The needle tends to hang up in certain spots and move real fast in others. A half a tank on the gauge doesn't mean you actually have a tank that's half full.
