Brush guards and bigger tires

I have a 92 Bronco with 31" tires. I want to put 33" tires on, without a lift kit. I've read that some people have done this by putting spacers behind the front bumper. Question #1: what to use for spacers? Question #2: I'd like to get one of the large brush guards that wrap around the headlights - how will this be affected by the bumper having spacers, or is it even possible? I'm afraid it will either not work at all, or it will be sticking out an extra inch from the hood/grill and look stupid.

Thanks!

sounds like you would be spending just as much money trying to fix your bumper than a lift, get a 3 inch body, it will look alot better and wont grind

Thanks for the reply - I've decided to save up the cash and put in a 4" suspension lift. I'm trying to avoid body lifts - I don't like the way they look.

Suspension would be the best i agree. Body is just the cheaper of the two.
