I am new to this. I added just a few pictures and I will add more every now and then. Today, I just purchased a new TCI IFS for the 54. One of the first things that I notice is that my 302 is going to need a rear sump oil pan. I was told an early model Bronco would possibly have one of these oil pans. Any information on other suppliers would be a big help. Thanks! RED!!!

any later model 4x4 (1980's) with the 302/5.0 should have a rear sump as well. These will have the dipstick in the pan also.

Ford Racing has engine oil pan swap kits $150.00 for rear sump kit.

When you say later year Broncos with a 302 will have a rear sump pan what years did you mean? I,ve got one more question I read somewhere on the 302 engine that on some models you don,t need to move the oil pickup when you instale a rear sump pan just by chance would you know what years.
Product Application at PartsAmerica.com
I went to autozone website, typed in 1985 Ford f150 5.0 FI,4wd, and got the same Dorman PN....lnk doesn't save info.
I typed in my 1985 F150 4x4 on both sites. Autozone shows my 4x4 application, and partsamerica shows what other years this fits. Not too sure about keeping the oil pickup in one spot. Fox body Mustang has a dual sump style, 2wd have a front sump style, and 4x4's have a rear sump style....AFAIK. Bill, numberdummy might have the actual part numbers.
I meant to say early model Broncos. I am not sure the year but, I believe it was the first models of the Bronco. I happen to be talking to someone at the auto parts counter and they mentioned this was the possiblity but, they were not sure either. Just really getting started on this project. I bought this from an individual who did not know much about what he had or the history but, I believe it is a rebuilt Jasper 302. Also, I believe it is a 70's model motor. I was told I could tell what year the motor was by the serial number on the engine parts. E meant 70's decade and the next number behind the E would designate the year of the decade. Do you know if this is true? Thanks! RED!!!

if the 302 was from a 70's 2wd truck, then it would have a front sump oil pan. If it came from any car, it would have a front sump oil pan also. Casting numbers like what you see on the intake, heads, and block will likely be something like C9AE, D1TE, etc... The 302 block didn't have too many changes. The intake did however, and the intake on yours might say D5TE or something like that. The date code will reveal more info. Of course there's always the decal on the valve cover if it's still there. You might have the dipstick tube running out of the timing cover. If this is the case, you can swap to a later model timing cover, and 80's oil pan from a 4x4 for the rear sump. Unfortunately I beleive the 66-77 bronco oil pan is not sold anymore, and the replacement you see online are the later types with the dipstick in the side. I think the old style bronco PN is C8TZ-6675-B
Forgot to mention: C: 1960's, D 1970's, E 1980's, etc... D5TE: 1970's 5 being 1975, T=truck E=engine
