Oil pan question

I am replacing my oil pan with an new one from Tim Meyer. The oil pan was made by Kevco Racing and has a square bottom. I know I will not be able to have a crossover pipe at the back of the oil pan but my main question is the clearance between the frame rail and the oil. Can someone look in my gallery at the oil pan and tell me what you think of the size of the oil pan and possible clearance issues? The picture shows the origianl pan on the left and the new one on the right.

Thanks!

I haven't gotten to the cam yet. I just got my heads last month and this next month I'll get my intake manifold. Once I have the intake, I'll start with the internals of the engine and heads.

Do you know if that pan will work on a two wheel drive?

Kevko is making these pans for us using the cores we supply them. The question we run into is the extra clearence needed up front of the pan? I think this is needed for the diff. clearence. Also the rear of the pan normally has clearence for the exhaust cross over. How often is this needed??

Dave Stucky purchased our project engine & it came with a oil pan with the squared off rear sump, but also was made different up front. He would be good to ask if he used the pan or how it fits.

Thanks for the reply Tim. Do you know how to get in touch with Dave Stucky? I can't wait to get that oil pan!
