If I remember correctly your 69 has the same body style as my `72. So, any factory setup in those years will work. If you are starting from scratch you will need all the engine brackets,pulleys, compressor etc.
Now if you want to go with Non Factory stuff have a look at a Vintage Air (Company Name)setup. there stuff is used by Many Hot Rod builders. and have all the stuff for a clean setup.

I recently bought and installed a unit for my 1970 Ford from (Classic Auto Air) a company based out of Tampa FL. The unit was a little pricey but if cool is what you want this is your ticket. Installation was easy and the folks there were super to deal with. Their phone number is (813-251-2356 or 813-251-4994).
Give them a call, tell them what you want to do and they will hook you up.
I'm in the midst of the same dilemna for my '74, but here are a couple of sites you might take a look at;
www.ackits.com
www.oldairproducts.com
My biggest questions are whether to go to under-dash A/C only and give up the ducting from the heater box to the floor, or in-dash A/C only and lose most of the glove box, or combined heating plus A/C and no outside air?!?
I'll be curious to know what you decide for yourself?
Steve
Fomoco,
What style of unit did you get from Classic? Do you know if they have a web-site? I'm driving myself nuts researching this and would appreciate any input you care to share as to difficulty, major obstacles, price, etc.?!?
Thanks, Steve
I have a underdash A/C unit I may part with. It was out of a 70's ford truck. I have everything but the condensor is alittle dinged and of course you will need a new drier.
I have a project truck I was going to put it in but I also need a heating and defrost unit so I will probably put in a vintage air unit with everything. I know it all worked when I pulled it out of the truck and I have since hooked up the power to make sure the blower worked
Let me know if this is any interest to you
Thanks
Don
