Cop and plug change?
but whats the rule of thumb for changing them on my 2003 2v ?

Yeah, I wouldn't leave them in the there for more than 3 years, if that, without changing them, no matter what the mileage. the less the mileage, the QUICKER to change them, actually.
Well, maybe not CHANGE them, but remove them, clean them up and reinstall/retorque with anti-seize and dielectric grease
