wiring
was just wondering if anybody has wiring diagram for 65 f100 have repair manual but no wiring in it also swapped out old steering column for a 79 need to know what wires go to my old wiring if any one can help would be greatly appreciated

You may try running a search on a topic and see if you can find the information. At the top of the FTE web page under 'forum' there is the 'search' catagory. Open the search engine and under 'key word' enter the topic your seeking info about, then it's helpful to narrow your field of search to a particular forum, usually find in the 61-66 forum topic has like been brought up before.

Surprisingly enough most of the color codes still apply through 66. I know when I rewired the neighbors 66 truck with a column out of a 68 I was able to set it up correctly the first time. It helps to have a note pad with what wire colors connect were if there is a color difference. Just keep the note paper around if you need to make a repair later. The wires in connectors for the column came out pretty easily so I could swap them over to the old 66 column connector. If you google "79 wiring schematic" or "ford truck wiring schematic" and you'll have a site or two pop up that will cover our trucks. It may take a little research to cross them all over but you'll get it without having to take anything apart before you start.
