Is a 36 1/2 inch to long for a 50f1. I found one that I'd like to get but wasn't sure of the lenght it needs to be. I remember reading about it but I searched for a long time and couldn't find it. Thanks.
Rusty, I am afraid that is too long. My tilt column with adapter and wheel mounted has a measurement from the angled floorboard to the rim of the steering wheel of 30 inches
any one help me out what chev model of tilt steering coloum without the shifter located on the coloum neck Will be suited to my 50 f-1 pickup . would like to keep floor shift.Any sugestions will be very appriciated thanks, sean
scott what a sweet ride you have.. I would love to have that to haul my old fords arround the country to a show and shine id say that could easy make it on the front cover of custom classic trucks. Yeah that coloum will do the job for me if you look at my gallery i have a few photos of my dream machene. Its perfect to my taste can you tell from the photos is it a same coloum as yours and what did you use for a petrol tank or did you keep the stock one?
oh yeah sorry forgot it was a diesel. Any sugestions of whare to put a battrey in a f-1 pickup with a intention of keeping the firewall clean and a full oak bed clean from clutter? it is a 1950 f-1 actually f-47 can built model.
Can you mount it under the bed floor with a nice wooden access door to match the rest of the wood floor? I am not the best guy to ask on those things on a standard 1/2 ton truck. My truck is so big and long that I really didn't have any problems with room, so I don't have a lot of experience with those particular problems.
cheers rusty , Anyhow were you planing to use a floor shifter for the coloum cause i read in www.bonous built.com mentioned a van coloum worth a try and check out the site.
