Can anyone recommend a nice and inexpensive laptop mount for a 2002 F250? I work out of my truck and it'd be really helpful to have. Most of what I've found is $250 or more though, and I really don't want to spend that much.
I have the Jotto desk that Rampage has. Been using it everyday for 8 years. I am an insurance adjuster and drive 150 miles a day on avg using my laptop all day. Love it
I have the Ram-Mount in mine too and am very happy with it. It's very secure and holds the computer firmly in place. I also got the quick disconnect (RAM Quick Disconnect | Vehicle Mount | Laptop Mounting | Tele-Pole) for it, and makes removal a breeze. When the pole is out, the base stays bolted in and does not interfere with the seat or passenger foot room at all.
The only thing I did to mine was cut the telescoping pole down a little bit, rather than buying shorter poles. It was a little higher than I liked at its lowest position, so I just made it not so tall. I've still got adjustment to move it up if needed though.
It is a little more expensive than some others, but I have zero complaints with it.
I know you are looking for something cheap but The mount that I went with you can cut and adjust without messing up the warranty if done the right way. you can make it fit and look good at the same time Universal Vehicle Laptop Mount System RAMVB168SW1 - $269.99 : just something for you to think about. Mine has seemed to work out just as i need it to without a problem.

Nice recommendation, but you do know this thread was posted almost four years ago, right?

Im glad he brought this thread back from the dead because I've been thinking of getting one but didn't know which kind to get or if I should make a redneck one.
