I found a 1966 F-700 at a local yard and it has a perfect hardly any surface rust core support. It looks like it is the same just wondering if I can put it in my 66. It looks like the inner fenders won't work.
I think they both the core support and inner fenders are different but if someone knows for sure I would like to know as a local yard has some of the larger trucks,I ended up using one from a 65 on mine since I was using the large 460 radiator from a 77 which has a similar mounting to the 65.
the core support on your 66 F100 2WD has exactly 3 potential donor candidates...66 F100 2WD like yours, or a 66 F250 2WD or if you are really lucky, a 66 F100 4WD.
Yes but what about the F-700. I know I can get the one off the 66, but I know that the oneon the f700 is better. They want $100 for either one. I just want to know if the f700 will fit.
And contrary to popular belief you are not **** out of luck. The core support in the yard needs to have the apron brackets added and a correct type radiator. An easy
modification.
Unless you are building a F100 for the Riddler or Pebble Beach it don't matter.
Thanks Garbz2. That's what I needed to know and wanted to hear. Are the aprons the inner fenders, if so I am making new ones. Now off to the yard on Monday and see what I can get myself into.
Fits: 1961/66 F700/750.

Dave...will a core support from an F700 or larger truck fit (with modifications), a 1966 F100/250 2WD that uses C6TZ16138B?
