i went out to eat tonight and was there for about 4 hours. temps are in the 20s and the truck was up to temp when parked. Went to leave let the truck run for a min and left. truck had ZERO power barley 20mph. cont down the road and up a pretty good grade (hill) 10mph at 1500rpm almost didnt make the hill. made it up the hill pulled into a parking lot then everything was normal. Was this due to cold temp and evbp. please help
just from from experience, it doesn't make much sence to me either. but when i unplugged mine it seemed to warm up slightly faster, but only by about two to three minutes at idle.

Did it again tonight. Pleasd tell me were this connector is so i can unplug the *******. Do i need to do it on a warm or cold engine to ensure that that the valve is open.
If your looking for the connector, it should be right under the turbo on the drivers side of the truck in the valley.
It doesnt matter if you unplug it while the motor is warm or cold. Absolutley none.
I have no idea what COWMILKER is talking about. Apparently the laws of physics dont apply where he lives. Bill and others are correct, it helps, but is more or less worthless. Its like ading 30 pounds to the rear of a 2wd truck in the snow, it helps, but if you can tell, your better than the other 300 people on here that have built their trucks from the ground up...LOL
I unplugged mine and it opened and shut whenever it wanted.
My truck didnt run proper for 2 months or so until I figured this out.
I have no wired it open and everything seems OK other than its pretty cold here and the truck seems to smoke alot until it warms up.
But once ot warms up.......
