I am reworking my 18 foot car hauler and want to upgrade my wiring.
It is a tandem axle w/ four electric brakes. I want to run a rubber coated
( SO type ) multiconductor cable from the 7 pin plug about 6 feet and splice in to existing wiring under the trailer. My question is what is the recommended wire size or guage that should be used? I have access to 7 conductor 20 guage rubber cord, but I feel it may be too light, especially for the brake wiring. If anyone would have this info I would appreciate it.
