Ran some errands this morning , while backing out of the drive way this morning yellow abs light and traction conrol light came on! 1100 miles, its been raining and pretty wet around here, one of the stops i turned the truck off and got back in and drove about a mile, did not come on that time. then after my business got back in and started it up they came on again! i believe this happened to my 02 screw too, i think they siliconed around the sensor so water could not get in and that solved the problem! have a appt monday!
i screamed a bit and got in today, they hooked it up to a computer and it told them it needed a "wheel speed sensor" first i heard of that! well anyways don't know when it will be in , i tried to have them take it off another 09 butt they said its different, i thought all 09s came with traction control and rsc? but im glad i went in today and not monday have a trip planned for friday next week, its kind of embarising for a 45000$ truck to have a big yellow light on afTER 1100 MILES!!
My dad went to pick up his brand new 09 150 today and the traction control light was on! they gave him a car to get home in but he is not very happy!!! I thought I would check in and see if any one else had this happen.
Think of it this way. A new vehicle is prolly the most complex piece of equipment that You'll EVER buy. Operating in various, often extreme, conditions.
I'd still think that both problems mentioned are nothing more than moisture getting into weather packs. Prolly didn't get greased properly, or connected fully.
well, talked to my dealer today, wheel speed sensor is on backorder until feb 28!!! unbelievable, stop building a couple of trucks and send me my part!!!

No no! Don't stop building them! One of those is mine!

The Traction control monitors the speed of each wheel and uses that info to kick in.

Yep. That's the best way...get belligerent about it! 'Cause it's your Ford dealer's fault that something went wrong thousands of miles away in a factory or assembly plant. Does it make you feel better to take it out on them?
Secondly, what's the deal with you expecting the most complex model of a brand new redesign to be completely flawless? Yes, you spent a large amount of money...and that money goes towards your expensive options which just mean that there's that much more to break. And yet you still get angry that it's not 100% perfect?
If you want perfect, don't go and buy a $50k truck. Buy a stripped down Focus...you'll have better odds.
