I am replacing a Ignition switch that is located on the lower half of my steering column,
I opened the Box for the new switch to match it up at NAPA, and a position lock spring popped out of the Box as well- The Parts Guy said it was to hold the switch in its neutral Position during shipping...
- OK..
So...
This means I have to put the truck in Neutral to put in this switch?- Is there any adjustments in doing this B4 bolting the switch down on the column??
-Anyone?
Its not very hard to change the switch, i did it in a parking lot at the autoparts store some years ago. I changed it in park. I would get it up in where it needs to be and try it. If anything u may have to re loosen it and final adjust it but should be reverse of how the old one came out.
