Mismatched Door
My truck is flat grey.... with a glossy green door with trim on it... The truck has no trim on it except for above the door it has the rain thing.
Should I:
Take the trim off and fill it in and get it painted to match?
Fix the original door which was basically torn off by the previous owner by backing into a round bail?
Find another door that doesn't have trim that is the same color or get one w/o trim and get it painted?

It sounds like the truck is in primer. If it is, you should really get the whole truck painted, since primer does not block water. When the door is repainted, it probably won't match the rest of the truck anyway. filling in the holes is not very difficult for a competent welder or body shop, so you could use the the door that is on it, assuming it's in good shape, or, you could find the rest of the trim, and put trim on the entire truck to match. IMO, I know painting is expensive, but save your pennies, and get the whole thing painted.

Ok I think that I will try to get it painted then.... I'll go around to some paint shops and ask about how much it would cost. Also about with rust? take it to a body shop to get it fixed right? And can they fix it with sheet metal or use bondo?
